Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts
Green Ranger: Adam Park



The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

So we started this thing with 22 Sixth Rangers, giving us 11 moving into the quarter-finals. Obviously, we needed to find an extra Ranger to bring us back to an even number. Now I could easily cheat and bring Eric back, but I'm going to stick with my original plan and advance the losing Sixth Ranger from the qualifying rounds who got the most votes. And with that said, this round we're bringing that wild card in to see if the race for GokaiSilver's suit has a chance at being won by a former Silver Ranger.

I don't like her so allow me to set up my arguement against Zhane.

Zhane was the single most useless sixth or other ranger in the history of the entire franchise. He did nothing. He literally did nothing, even his Zord was crap. His biggest claim to fame was being frozen and having the strangest weapon I've ever seen. See, most Sixth's or Other's set themselves apart from the team. By being stronger, by bringing a much more powerful Zord, by adding something to the team. Something.
Zhane added absolutely nothing. He was just another Ranger, nothing special. And the only person in this entire field I where I would've voted for Eric over him. So that should say something.
I bash Andros alot. He had a stupid haircut, always whined about his life, and needed a little girl to force him to call a power that'd save an entire colony. But atleast he did something. He killed Zordon thus saving the World, he saved his sister Twice, and he stopped the monster that kidnapped her in the first place.

But this Bandboy reject.. he was just shit. And I have no idea how in the hell he made it this far.

He got 20 votes against Mike. Udonna almost made it in as the wild card, but she was just short at only 19.

I went with Gemma on this one, but it was kind of a toss-up for me. Zhane's a good Ranger with a cool power set and, when he's not being a douche, he's pretty smart. Gemma is much smarter, though, but she has definite issues with being super hyperactive and destructive. In the end, I think that crazy unpredictability gives her an edge.

Two characters that are made to be likeable but also have something off-putting about them. I think Zhane is more useful as a ranger but he will totes date your sister. I think in a one on one battle he does have the better powers but I can't imagine him getting the votes with this crowd. Maybe if it hadn't been the 90's and they didn't go blonde with him. To be fair to him he did do a lot to start turning Astronoma from evil and they couldn't have beaten the Psycho Rangers without him. It may have been off screen but he was protecting a large group of people when he was away while still looking for Zordon.

He was being smart, too. He had no damn clue what the hell that button would do. It could've been the self-destruct button for the Delta Megazord, for all he knew.

That's because I know Andros did something worthwhile. You can hate him all you want, he still contributed to the series in major ways.

But the Battlizer. He was in a dangerous situation and he didn't know what function 3 did. It would have been too risky to just press it randomly (So the girl snuck up on him through the bushes and pressed it while he was spying on a monster or something). Like Switchblade said, it could have even been the self destruct for the Delta Megazord.
