Number 4: Too Many Pinkie Pies
Who honestly didn't see this one coming? Number 3: Party of One ![]() Party of One is the twenty-fifth episode of season one. Pinkie Pie invites her friends to a party, but grows suspicious and investigates when none of her friends can attend... and you all know the rest. Seriously, this episode is infamous for being just plain creepy that pretty much everypony has seen it already. Though really its just the one two and a half minute long scene in a twenty-two minute long episode that gives Party of One its reputation among the fandom. (among other things that shall not be mentioned) All I can really say is that I found the antics and banter in this episode enjoyable and Pinkie Pie's singing telegram was rather amusing. Also, this episode proved one thing. Turn down an invitation from Pinkie and she'll lose her shit... Which is a personality trait that I'm sure was never taken advantage off by a fanfic writer or fan artist in any shape or form. Party of One... CUPCAKES!!! |

Number 3: Party of One
Is it wrong to count two episodes as one?... Oh screw it I'm doing it anyway. Number 2: The Return of Harmony ![]() The Return of Harmony is the first episode of the second season and the twenty-seventh episode overall. This is the first half of a two part episode, in which Princess Celestia tasks the ponies with retrieving the Elements of Harmony and defeating Discord thus returning order to Equestria. Where do I even begin with this one. Well, where anyone else would, with Discord. Discord is without a doubt one of my favorite villains of all time. The fact that he has so much power yet very little motivation to use it is something that has always intrigued me. I mean this is a guy that could probably tear apart the entire world in an instant but instead... he makes it rain choclate milk. I know this episode doesn't exactly have the best rebutation by fans like Suited for Success or Party of One do, in fact I do think it's one of the more flawed episodes, but I still enjoy it. It has an amazing villain, great character development and most importantly a great conflict. Let's face it, this is probably that episode that puts the friendship of the mane six to the most difficult test and boy was it a doozy. The Return of Harmony, why did Keep Calm and Flutter On have to ruin the best villain? |

Ah.
![]() Let me say one thing though, I don't hate Keep Calm and Flutter On. But when I first watched it, the ending left me rather angry that Discord was turned good. However upon re-watching it, I don't hate it nearly as much... Still a little ticked about Discord though. |

"Keep Calm and Flutter On" is actually one of my favorite episodes (although that might be my Fluttershy bias). I really like how they handled Discord's heel-turn; I thought that it was an intelligent, albeit corny, method to explain why a being of chaos would try to be good.

Overall it's both an episode that I both like and dislike for different reasons... I just don't know. |

Like I said, I don't hate Keep Calm and Flutter On and from a narrative stand point it works and the relationship between Discord and Fluttershy were great. Not to mention the turn was well paced and handle well... BUT WHY IN THE HELL DID IT HAVE TO BE DISCORD!?
