Because forcing tight plastic holes around thin snapable ball joints was such a giant leap forward? I may not love the peg system but it worked for years for Bandai with Souchaku Henshin. It's definitely the better option of the 2 presented. I too have had 2 figures out of my 70 or so break at the wrist and one was a web exclusive that fetches $80+ so I'd rather they go to a system that works better.

I'm eh on the new hands for now until we see clearer pics of them or more pics of Kabuto.
Swapping to Figma-like wrist pegs could kinda reduce breakage, not by much but a bit, but it would also mean we lose all the motion the wrists currently have unless they either plan to give us more hand options or found a way to keep the ball joint range of motion. More like Eiji's poor everything

Lanky proportions, a head that's a bit too small for it's body, legs that connect to the hips in such an odd way that it leaves unsightly gaps when posing anything beyond standing straight, bowed legs, gaped armor detailing, etc etc. The Kabuto SHFs aren't bad figures (Hell, when first released, they were heralded as some of the greatest Kamen Rider figures ever), but as SHFs evolved and grew in quality, the errors with the Kabuto (And The First) figures became extremely apparent. As for the new hand system, as long as the wrist isn't just a hinge, I don't have any problems.

It looks great but the price I've seen is heavy. Also I'm not a fan of the figma style hand system, I like the current one that allows you to choose between an up/down tilt or an in/out one.

I just, how? How do you not see the differences? It's like day and night between these two, how do you not see it here? The lanky proportions are gone, the bowed hips are gone, his head's the appropriate size and color, his hips don't look like their dislocated when posing. This thing is all around and improvement on the original.

But that defies the point. I want to be able to pose my hands. |

I think you quoted the wrong post, Zeo was FOR the peg system.

Also hadn't thought about the up/down wrist tilt... Yeah that actually is pretty important for a lot of Rider poses. :/

And on price ive seen rumors floating about that it could be upwards of 5000 yen. Totally unsubstantiated right now though. That price would be pretty steep, but i cant say I wouldnt pay it for such a superior figure when compared to the original.

The new hands seem interesting. I might look into getting him.
