Today we've got another treat for you from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. DX Gokai Machine Gao Lion is based on the same character from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger. At least the toy is. In series context this literally IS the same Gao Lion from Gaoranger. Once the Gokaigers gained his approval he descended from Sky Island and became the latest Gokai Machine!

This figure while based on the character and original toy, is more of an homage to the over sized BIG DX Gao Lion. It's almost a match for the size of that release but more importantly it homages the massive Gao Centaurus mode that the original BIG Gao Lion could create. When used with Gokai Oh that form is known as Gao Gokai Oh.

When the Shinkenger keys were used while Gao Gokai Oh was formed, Gao Lion underwent a transformation to become a full set of armor components and Shinken Gokai Oh was formed! This reveals the massive Reka Daizantou that made up his torso and hips as well as the kanji symbols placed around his body. This specific placement of kanji of course hoamges Shinken Oh. So Gao Lion actually winds up being a double homage to both Gaoranger and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger!

Ooh, finally, we get to see my favourite Gokai Machine! I considered just getting Gokai Oh and Gokai Lion to display in Shinken Gokai-oh form but didn't like the idea of leaving the legs out with no where to go. The one thing I was disappointed about was that you couldn't use all the parts for the final combination. Was a bummer. But I may still consider getting Shinken Gokai-oh someday, or even all of them if I can.

This is easily my favorite Gokai machine, Shinken GokaiOH looks fantastic, and i really can't wait to get the super megaforce version.

Pulling double duty like a boss, this is my favourite Gokai Machine. He's a big ol' kitty with a Samurai zest!

Going right along with alot of others, Shinken Gokai Oh was my favorite version. I will end up with the BOA one. 1 thing i was really hoping they would do in Gokaiger was a new megazord made up of the other grand powers, ie combining pat striker magi dragon, gao lion and the rest. Ah well.

While I'm never been big into Centaur modes, I love the other two, really cool figure.
