With a couple of fansub groups that do older shows able to actually release Christmas episodes of their shows during the holiday season (in this case, Kakuranger and Megaranger), I figured now would be a good time to ask: What are your favorite toku Christmas episodes? Kamen Rider, Sentai, Power Rangers, Metal Heroes, VR Troopers, Beetleborgs, and anything else you can think of. If you're having a hard time thinking on them, here's some links to the wiki lists: Super Sentai: http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/C...istmas_Episode Kamen Rider: http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Cat...istmas_Episode Power Rangers: http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/C...stmas_Specials Metal Hero/VR Troopers/Beetleborgs: http://metalheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Ca...istmas_Episode As for me, I'm quite fond of the Gokaiger and Kakurangers Christmas episodes. PS I'm about to watch the original Kamen Rider's Christmas episode that has the most amazing title ever: "Werewolf Monster's Huge Murder Party." So Christmas-y Last edited by Blade Raider; 12-23-2013 at 01:32 AM.. |

You know what's sad? There isn't a Goseiger Christmas Special. Goseiger, you know, the Angel Sentai? The closest is "Epic 45:The Messiah Is Born," bit that takes place after New Years IIRC and it only stays remotely Christmas-y for like 5 minuites. I want to hear "Angels We Have Heard On High" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" sung in Japanese dammit! Maybe Toei thought it'd be Christian Symbolism Overkill? |

There is only one logical choice here. Shaider episode 39: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v21523924xFBQf4kM I could explain why, but skip ahead to around the 7:50 mark and see for yourselves. Shaider was on all the crack. |

Will have to watch it all at some point, but I kinda feel like I should save it for Wednesday now

I should probably mention my favorite non-Shaider one, too. Ultraman Max episode 26, Elly's Christmas. Great little episode with some of the coziest-looking miniatures ever. That's the HK sub version, you can get the good version via GUIS. |

I was going to mention Elly's Christmas myself. Pleasantly surprised to be beaten to the punch. It's a charming little self-contained story that requires no prior knowledge of the franchise or series at all (beyond Elly's nature, which is clearly identified).
