Time for Super Sentai teams of similar motifs to duke it out. Which of these titles is the superior one? For Round 6, we get all of the animal-based teams in a battle royale (including those who only have animals as their secondary motifs): Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan (1981) Choujuu Sentai Liveman (1988) Seijuu Sentai Gingaman (1998) Primary Motif: Natural Elements Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger (2001) Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (2002) Primary Motif: Ninjutsu Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger (2007) Primary Motif: Eastern Martial Arts Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009) Primary Motif: Samurai Let's get ready to rumble!

Gingaman. Hands down, and solely because of my love for Magna Defender.

Liveman without a doubt. The only one that really comes close is Gekiranger.

Oooh, this is tough. For me it comes down to Gaoranger and Gekiranger. Of those two, I have to go with Gaoranger because they really (and I mean really) embraced the animal motif. Gekiranger will always be about martial arts first and animals second. Gao rao... gao rao... GAORANGER!

Gaoranger definitely wins this one. I must disagree with Shinkenger being part of this though. The reason is because despite the Origamis being in the shape of animals Shinkenger is more of a elemental motif (Fire, Water, Sky, Wood, Land, Light) overall. Just my 2 cents so feel free to disagree.

Gaoranger. Cause Wild Force is awesome and mostly the same thing. XP He's got a lobster and a squid too...

I think Go-Onger would be a better fit than Shinkenger here. Having animal mechs =/= an animal theme. At least Go-Onger has the animal themes in their suit designs as well... Anyway, Gao. |
