This article actually says they aren't sure, however, I'm not seeing it on the E-shop, then again it's only 2:45 am here, so I have a feeling it'll be up in a few hours.

Just seeing people in different places saying the Japanese players tried and their hacked Pokémon were getting through. So things like a shiny Chimchar with its Dream World ability (which isn't available period) were allowed through.

I'd be more curious if a genuinely impossible thing (give Chimchar an ability it can't have, for example) would make it... Because while not possible to possess, it's still a viable Pokémon within the game's logic. So that could be it.
