If there is one series you need to watch it's Kamen Rider W. The two main heroes Shotaro and Philip go together brilliantly, the story is filled with twists and turns and the villains are just as interesting as the heroes and many of them with actually get you to cry once it comes time for them to be axed off.

Also, that ending... simply perfect.

Because bringing Phillip back totally killed it for me. If it ended a single episode sooner it would have truly been perfect. Just like Ryuki would have been perfect if it ended 5-10 minutes sooner.

I am. I won't go into spoilers, but I thought that it was a good way to end the series on a positive note and it didn't invalidate anything that happened in the penultimate episode for me.

There's nothing wrong with the last episode. It was beautiful, perfect, and even tied into the movie a little. How exactly is Wakana sacrificing herself for her little brother, for making up for all the evil she did, not a good ending?

Good. Philip and Wakana were almost going to run away together. They were so close even before they learned they were siblings. Before her Father got his hooks in her and warped her mind, turning her against everyone and everything she loved. That was why she ended up in that mental institution after her defeat. Because it all came back and flooded her with exactly what she's done to the one person who truely loved her. Here father only wanted to use her, her sister hated her, Shroud was consumed by her hatred. The only person she had was Philip. So when she broke out of the Mental Institution and gave her wish to the Earth it, not only made perfect sense, but it was beautiful that she gave her life to give Philip his back. .... Sorry, I get a little defensive about W. The ending especially, I loved it.

If I had to recommend any KR series it would obviously be Gaim (the best yet without doubt), but since that's off the cards I'm a bit stuck.

Tbh, I've enjoyed most. I'm very easy to please though, so I generally measure a show's worth on whether I watch it all the way through or not.

W, Kiva, Hibiki and Den-O, while pretty good, I didn't finish them. Not sure why. You could quote pacing for some of them... but I've got no excuse on the W front. That's probably one you'll need to watch yourself.

I'm quite fond of Blade, but even I can admit it's somewhat bland in places. Still, love the playing card theme and the mythology.

OOOs wasn't perfect for me. Good, yes, but not top notch on all accounts.

Final recommendations: W and OOOs are safe bets for humour and action. I personally prefer deeper and darker works, but that's just me ;-)
