The worst thing about the dance show crap was that it worked. Like for me that was the silliest thing of all, you could have easily chalked off them just being naive children in putting this show together, as Gaim is a show that has proven to really understand its characters. But the fact that then the whole city were like 'DERP WE WERE SO WRONG THAT DANCE SHOW HAS CHANGED OUR MINDS'. Just...why? How? What? No, wait, please don't answer that, let's drop it.

The only thing I thought that was odd about the dance show was how we still heard the fighting going on in the background at one point. I know I'm probably not the only one that wanted to see more from the fight then the actual dancing.

No matter what, it's a damning interpretation of the modern world, where the tone of the next piece of viral video will decide your opinions on current affairs until the next piece. Almost seems like this city ain't worth saving.

I don't think the dancing itself won people over, but rather the events captured by the DJ. That's why Takatora was mad, he was broadcasting circumstances that clearly favoured the beat riders.

I mean, that's really it, isn't it? The people of Zawame are sheep. They've fallen for this city's ploys hook line and sinker. Even the beat riders. The invess games and dance stages were set up by Yggdrasil, and nobody thought much of it. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 02-18-2014 at 12:10 AM.. |

I liked this one. It didn't feel as huge and important as some of the recent episodes, but it was still enjoyable and had some good moments (loved the bit with Oren and Junouchi on the stairs). I hope this is the end of the dance team stuff as a major plot device, though. Not because it's dumb and pointless now (although it is), but because this feels like a good way to wrap up that plot thread. The teams are united, the city has stopped blaming them, and things seem to be in a good place for them overall. I don't really think there's any way the show can top this or anything they need to do to build off of it. I hope the dancing stuff just fades into the background after this.
On a totally different note, I freaking love Knuckle. Everything about that design just clicks for me perfectly, even the boxing gloves. |

Transition of what? His head crest? That's just an effect of the ripples in the glass/water.

And yet it's totally true to real life, sadly. I mean, that's really it, isn't it? The people of Zawame are sheep. They've fallen for this city's ploys hook line and sinker. Even the beat riders. The invess games and dance stages were set up by Yggdrasil, and nobody thought much of it.

Except it wasn't there in the last 17 episodes.

Wasn't it? Hold on...
... Ok, I was wrong. Hm...maybe the last one meant something? I really don't know. The new one just looks like an effect of the ripples.
