I actually though this episode was pretty good. Unfortunately, it kind of feels like the morphed fights have nothing going for them. It's kind of like they build up a story (or try to) during the unmorphed scenes, then the script calls for 12 minutes of fighting (so put in Gokaiger footage), and then go back to a story in the unmorphed scenes. Kind of separates it and makes it feel like two separate shows.
For Power Rangers, and for what my expectation is (not that great), it fit the expectation. If you're a Power Rangers fan you'll enjoy the episode. If you're not a Power Rangers fan and you're overly negative about cringe-worthy moments, just skip the entire franchise for a few years until it finds its footing again.

I AM a Power Rangers fan and I recognized this episode was awful, so that's not true at all. Being a Power Rangers fan doesn't mean you should automatically accept terrible editing, VAs, actors and plot.

I'm not coming down on you for your opinion. But I know how that's how this might come off. But I flatout disagree with you on Voice Actors. Finding excellent VA talent has been one thing Saban has been solid on since getting the franchise back. Dayu, Xandredd, every MotW. Especially with Megaforce. Vrak, Metal Alice, and now the Armada? Each one is spot-on excellent.

I guess we just have different tastes, because I think that they both are pretty bad. Vekar doesn't sound whiney at all, at least nowhere near the levels of Warz Gill. Doesn't help that the entire "plan" exchange was stupid to begin with, though.

so they have to replace that with the gosei suit fighting to take up that much time. if it was an actual tribute episode, there would probably be less fighting in gosei suits like in episode 1 because there was alot of gokai footage to use im guessing in the next episode we'll probably see less gosei suit fight footage since they are probably combining episodes 3 and 4 to introduce mystic dragon/magidragon and noah/joe's focus episode since magi gokaioh/legendary mystic force megazord is used to defeat joe's/noah's swordsman monster.
