Episodes 17 and 18 de gozarimasu desu-tachi

First time I've actually watched more than one of these at a time. The cliffhanger for 17 was just too good to stop on (even if Branken trying to squeeze out of the door looked goofy as all hell).

This was a good set of episodes. You know the show is doing something great when Makito can give a speech and we can get an extended Dead Mom bit and I'm still engaged with what's going on. I hope the show continues more in this vein, although I am not looking forward to the addition of another puppet character.

Who Smoky? You just wait. Smoky is far better than Jenji was in Mystic Force. Puppet though he may be he's a lot more fun to watch. 17-18 really gives us a solid arc and a conclusion of sorts, then 19 just opens up a whole new box of worms and fun.

I don't find Mandora Boy to be all that irritating surprisingly. Smoky however is awesome

Mandora is way more tolerable than one would honestly expect.

And he gets more tolerable as things progress. He's more or less a substitute for a book on Magitopia. Instead giving such knowledge a voice to speak with.

Episodes 17-18.

Alright. Things are moving along nicely. Still not in love with the show, but I'm more interested in what it has to offer than I have been in the past.

I had forgotten how good this little batch of episodes was. Well, not 18. That's one of my favorites, especially the showdown between MagiRed and Wolzard and then the final battle with Branken. Overall a good wrap up the first part of Magiranger.
