Faiz's design is part shark, part the Greek letter phi, and part construction worker. |

His head crest (Which usually in the design of the character's horn/antennae when based on a bug) is supposed to resemble a shark's fin, but they split it in two, making it more of a match for bug antennae. His mouth plate (Which features the teeth) has no real indicator that they're there. There are grooves in the mouth plate, but unless there's a close up shot and the viewer is looking for them, no one would see them (Which is why no one thought Faiz was a shark until the Den-O OOO Net movie shorts, which explained this last year). Faiz's comparison to a firefly was a stretch, but that was only because he didn't really look like anything else.

I never really saw a shark in the 555 design. I've always thought he was a grasshopper like Kamen Rider 1. But looking at his armor there are some shark elements in there.

Yeah. It was when they were playing that quiz-show type section. Faiz was a shark, Kiva was a Jack-O-Lantern/Pumpkin.

Wait, people call Faiz a firefly? Also, take the stuff from the Net Movies with a grain of salt, I'm not sure why, but I feel that stuff was less "this is the Rider's entire design" and more "this part here kinda-sorta looks like this thing." No clue on the fins, but the mouthplate was probably a reference to Rider #1 if anything.
