Most of the time it'll be double releases, but there are some occasions where single releases will be done (depending on where 2-parters begin and what-not).

Flashman is such a great show for its era, not just because of the story itself. The idea that people are taken from their home and then return years later only to find it hostile to them was actually based in reality. That aspect of the series comes from what, at the time, was this huge influx of Japanese children who had been taken to China and Korea during the war 20-30 years prior and were now returning, only to find that Japan wasn't very receptive of them and that they were all essentially outsiders due to having grown up outside of their home country.
There is a lot of historical context for these older shows that often adds a pretty cool layer. It's one of those shows I would love to see subbed one day so other people can experience it. I want also to experience this... just listen to the opening, makes me go FLASH ![]() |

What's is the general opinion of Hikari Senshi's sub of GoGoFive, I know their Dairanger/Gekiranger is problematic with their translate everything policy but i'm interested in getting the flavour of the show

I haven't seen the subs myself, but it's not really one of those shows where translating everything is an issue. Most of their terms are in English anyway. Unless you don't like Psyma being translated as "Disasdemon" (I do know they did that). But that translation is justifiable only because... that's what they are and that's what the name is punning off of in Japanese.
