Nobunaga 2. Dat...incest?
I guess this is possibly gonna break the series for me? As I neither like the mech designs nor that clunky CG animation a lot of anime has started using. Honestly between the poor animation and clunky dialogue, about the only thing I enjoyed in this episode was the ridiculous Shoujo reimagining of some of Histories greatest monsters. I have just finished episode 15. And besides that brief moment in episode 2 where it might have been inferred that way, there is absolutely nothing to imply as much. Just that Nobunaga and Ichihime are very close as siblings and nothing more.

Heck, none of the characters are even blood related.

I assure you, there is no incest in Nobunaga the Fool.
I have just finished episode 15. And besides that brief moment in episode 2 where it might have been inferred that way, there is absolutely nothing to imply as much. Just that Nobunaga and Ichihime are very close as siblings and nothing more. It felt incredibly out of place and like you said later episodes prove that it has no basis. |

I'm glad to hear it went nowhere, but the implication raised in episode two made me VERY uncomfortable.

A Certain Scientific Railgun Episode 4: Urban Legends
I'd just like to point out that there's a magazine in this episode at 4:14 with Shakugan no Shana on the cover and on said cover there's a small advert for the a certain scientific railgun manga... WHAT! |

Build Fighters 11.
Considering Fellini (I love how everyone over pronounces his name with an Italian twang, I dunno Japanese Italian is hilarious) is the Italian Champion he...kinda sucks. I get that he was facing overwhelming odds etc but he was saved TWICE in the same sequence. Like come on, your Gundam has a fucking motorbike, live up to that epic. What I like about this show is every moment it feels like it may keel over into 'FIRST BANDAI...THEN THE WORLD!' territory (thanks to the poster who phrased it like that - hilarious) it manages to pull it back and give it a healthy dose of reality. I'm not really a big fan of the pseudo realism that has permeated through our DC comicbook movies but here the self aware thread of the series really helps it feel relevant and fresh and in many ways a lot less silly even though other shows of such ilk play themselves SO SERIOUSLY. This tournament is also epic and no nonsense which I really appreciate as these kinds of shows have a tendency to drag things out for all they're worth. I guess so they have more opportunities to sell shit. If I was to have any disappointments, and I know I've said it before, it's how fleeting most Gundam are in this show despite having such wonderful designs.

Anyway Build Fighters 12. Although the great animation and incredible fight choreography helps, the main reason I'm so invested in what is basically sports played with toys is the soundtrack. Holy God it's better than sex. The Meijin may just be a character for Yuki to play, but there is nothing false about Yuki's skills or badassitude, he's probably the only character I genuinely like in this show. Reiji's kinda cool too I guess.
