First episode of Crystal...I still wish they had updated/modernized the designs more. I mean...I guess the "Do the old designs with modern technology" has it's charm, but in a reboot. I'd rather they change things up more visually. Luna showing up and Usagi transforming right away felt a bit forced to me, and that fight scene was rather disappointing, but in terms of a first fight...I'd say it was slightly weaker than Tsubomi's in HeartCatch! Precure, since she too did a lot of running and crying. Pilot episodes are rarely good, so I'll stick with it, and hope it gets better.

saw it last night and I gotta say I really enjoyed it. seeing the manga story play out exactly is and will be interesting to me. gotta say though seeing tuxedo mask designed like that

gotta say the beeper buns was way funny.

Well at least Usagi doesn't sound like a woman in her mid 20s anymore. Something still seems a tiny bit off to me though... but I think that's just the clarity of the recordings clashing with the obviously older animation than anything else.
