The preview for next week is very clearly a continuation of what we're left with here. It isn't written by Urobutchi but it's a continuation of the show. And 52 & 53 of Wizard were likewise a continuation of the show, just for a brief 2 episode story.

Yes, but 51 was the actual ending for the Wizard story. So is this episode the actual ending for the Gaim story?

EDIT: Nevermind, Xtreme posted before I finished this reply. Not sure how I feel about that since Urobutchy is not the writer of it. The main writer should be the guy who does the final episode.

I get the idea Urobutcher doesn't quite grasp the idea of a 'happy ending'. This last episode was perfectly bitter with a splash of sweetness, but all the same I'd like a happier conclusion. As I take it, this is probably how Uro wanted to see it end, and the next episode is how the producers want to see it end.

It looks like he either becomes Kurokage, or is still Gridon and begins using the Matsubokuri Arms in honor of Hase.
