Well, I'm much more excited about the Santa christmas special now I've seen the preview. The elves are really funny, and Clara's back, so she has a chance of a happy ending. Wooh!

According to the CV on her agency's website, Catherine Tregenna, who wrote a number of Torchwood episodes, is apparently writing an episode of series 9. I wasn't going to mention it as a few writers in the past have had them officially writing for the show but their episodes never materialized for some reason or another and nothing is final until it comes from the BBC. However, the news seems to be exploding out into the wider sphere and I figured I'd pass it on in case anyone was interested and missed it.

A couple of very small snippets of scenes in the BBC Christmas trailer. The YouTube version still seems to be locked to the UK, but the one on the Guardian site works fine for those of us outside. Clara looks happy to be back! (And, man, Jenna just keeps getting better looking. Pardon me while I melt into a puddle of goo. )
