So far SSB4 is going rather well. I'm now at 3.0 intensity and have everyone unlocked as well as having all stages.
However I'm struck in Event Matches. Kirby's Crazy Appetite has you running around a LARGE stage while trying to fully heal 100% damage with three DeDeDes chasing you dealing more damage to you, plus you're on a strict time limit. Seriously that match can go die in a fire. How on earth are you meant to do this one requirement without going mad? |

Character Concept: Pokemon Trainer.
The general idea is nothing like the original Pokemon Trainer. He actively runs around on screen and is ultimately more similar to Rosalina and Luma, except a large difference being that his Pokemon aren't following him on screen and they can't be KO'd. However, to balance, he literally does no fighting himself. His Pokemon aren't only used for specials, but his basic attacks as well. While this means that there is some mild distance between himself and his foe while he attacks, it also means that enemies closing the distance can attack before he can choose a Pokemon to use. I also thought of a fun way to prevent spam/constant runaway play is to give him his Pokemon the whole "Tired" system, similar to Brawl. However, since he calls upon Pokemon for attacks only, they instead get tired from overuse, reducing damage and knock back (Additionally, they can take damage to tire them out faster than usual). Anyway, the Trainer himself is just a kid running around a battlefield. He needs a team, and it was fun to make his team feature one from every Gen. Pidgeot, Heracross, Absol, Lopunny, Hydreigon, and Aegislash Because it's a lot easier, Specials. B: Pokeball Throw -Trainer throws out a Pokeball that can contain one of 3 Pokemon (Absol, Pidgeot, or Hydreigon), depending on the time between usage. -If thrown immediately, it's Absol, who will perform Night Slash near where the Pokeball landed. If unused for at least 10 seconds, it's Pidgeot, who will use Gust, which slashes the opponents multiple times and blows them away. If unused for 20 seconds, it's Hydreigon, who will fire off a Draco Meteor (Think similar to ROB's Robo Laser, where the player doesn't charge manually, but has to wait for the recharge) -The player can hold B down, letting the Pokeball bounce before opening (Max of 2 additional bounces before it opens automatically) Forward B: Megahorn -Heracross appears right in front of the trainer and dashes forward, performing a strong Megahorn. -Similar to the Pokeball Throw, holding down the B button allows the ball to bounce (However, it only gets one additional bounce before opening automatically). Up B: Hurricane -Pidgeot appears and the Trainer rides atop it as it performs a Hurricane, rising upwards while a tornado cycles around it, striking enemies multiple times. -The Trainer can guide the direction it moves in as it flies Down B: King's Shield -Aegislash appears, protecting the player from any hit briefly. If hit physically, it immediately counters, otherwise, it merely absorbs projectiles. -Cannot move until Aegislash disappears. Lopunny wasn't mentioned, but that's because it does the bulk of the basic attacks, being the Trainer's basic combo. For those that care beyond the specials, Basic Attack: Lopunny appears and punches the opponent twice. Tapping A again will have Lopunny kick the enemy, starting an auto attack. Ending it will have Lopunny deliver a flipping kick at the end. Forward Tilt: Aegislash appears and slashes. -The player can tap A up to three times for a 3 hit combo from Aegislash. Down Tilt/Crouching Attack: Lopunny appears and quickly sweeps the opponent, knocking them down. Up Tilt: Heracross appears and quickly swings it's horn left to right above the Trainer. -Heracross is basically standing directly on the player Neutral Air: Pidgeot appears and spread's both it's wings, dealing damage on both sides -The Trainer is facing the camera and Pidgeot is directly in front of him Forward Air: Aegislash appears and slashes forward once Back Air: Lopunny appears and delivers three quick kicks behind the Trainer Up Air: Absol appears above the Trainer and curls up into a ball, spinning twice, using it's head blades to slash the opponent Down Air: Lopunny appears and delivers a kick straight down. -Has meteor effect -Travels about as far as Mega Man's Hard Knuckle before vanishing Forward Smash: Pidgeot appears and dashes forward, travelling about 2 character lengths. Up Smash: Lopunny appears and rockets straight upwards. -Lopunny's kick height is directly related to how long the charge was (Minimum charge is barely over the Trainer's head. Max charge is about as high as Palutena's up smash). Down Smash: Heracross appears and spins his horn around, close to the ground. -Trainer faces the camera and Heracross is standing in front of him. Throw: Absol appears and dashes forward, grabbing the first enemy in it's path and pulling them back towards the Trainer. Absol attacks by biting at the opponent while holding them. -Forward throw has Hydreigon appear and shoot them off with a Fire Blast. -Down throw has Absol scratch at the enemy multiple times before slashing them away with it's head-blade. -Up throw has Heracross appear and fling them upwards with it's horn. In order to keep the Trainer from being too slow to even fight back, his Pokemon appear in a quick white flash (They often are attacking before they fully form), and disappear in a red aura. However, to keep the Trainer from being untouchable, the delay comes not from the Pokemon emerging from their ball, but instead the trainer choosing the Pokemon. The trainer doesn't toss the ball in order to use the Pokemon (For example, Lopunny appears directly in front of him), but he does have to hold out his arm before it appears, giving the enemy an opening. To all those who actually read this, good for you. I'd love to know your thoughts. I made this as a way to reduce stress and pass the time. As for why I chose these Mons, I have no idea. I simply avoided starters since they were too easy.

Speaking of money-grabbing, has anyone noticed how crap Amiibos are? Like, they're literally the crappiest thing ever. They offer absolutely nothing more interesting or more fun then just adding a Lvl 9 COM to your battle, its just they cost you $15 a pop so the people brain-dead enough to think "Oh! Wow! A COM restricted to a single character that increases its AI by playing against it!" can further empty their pockets into Nintendo's. Such a waste of money and time that you just know will soon become an integral part of Nintendo's business.
I was assuming that the stupid COM gimmick wasn't the only thing those pieces of plastic had to offer, that there was some great secret that was yet to be revealed. But nope. That's it. Its a single character COM that slowly increases its AI and stats (like those Customs! Such new!) that you can take to your friends' houses for whatever reason. Oh! But as the Direct proudly announced, you can put two Amiibo COMs in a fight and watch them battle yourself! Whoopee. And the worst part is I'm probably dumb enough to impulse buy one. Ugh. ![]() I hate myself. These things have been selling like freaking hot cakes. Took me an unnaturally long time to find Marth. Every single store I went to had either completely sold out or only had 2 or 3 left (usually Mario and Peach). Link and Marth are definitely the most sought after. Awesome concept! I wanna play too! A character that really should've been in SSB4 from the start as a 3rd party character that was relevant to Nintendo upon tis release and a big "get" for Nintendo's roster... Character concept: Bayonetta Attachment 25565 B: Love is Blue Similar to Fox's attack, Bayonetta fires bullets from her guns, Love is Blue. They do minor chip damage with no knockback, but rapidly increase percentages. Forward B: Panther Within Bayonetta lunges fowards and transfroms into a Panther, that scratches anybody unfortunate to be in her way. At the end of her pounce, she returns to human form. Up B: Malphas The wings of the demonic bird, Malphas are summoned onto Bayonetta's back. Similar to Pit's old up B, Malphas by itself is exclusively for recovery, making three upward flaps when you press "B". Once the three flaps are over, Bayonetta begins to drift gracefully down. Hitting "B" further while she descends, she will fire her guns, similar to using "Love is Blue". Down B: Witch Time Bayonetta poses. If someone attacks her as she poses, she'll instantly disappears in a purple flash and re-appear behind them and kick them, with a short burst from the "Love is Blue" on her feet at the end of her kick, teasing "Almost!". Final Smash: Gomorrah Bayonetta dances and cries "Avavago", before her hair spins around her and the gigantic demonic dragon, Gomorrah, is summoned behind her. Gomorrah takes three massive chomps forwards. Anyone caught in his jaws takes heavy damage and knock back. Before returning to Inferno, Gomorrah makes a mighty roar, pushing anyone nearby backwards, but not dealing any damage. Afterwards Bayonetta's hair returns to her body and she poses. Front Smash: Wicked Weave Punch Bayonetta punches forwards as her hair disappears from her body and Madama Butterfly's arm appears next to her and punches. The amount of arm length that is summoned is dependent on the charge. Down Smash: Wicked Weave Stomp Bayonetta stomps and poses as her hair disappears from her body and Madama Butterfly's heels appear and slam into the front next to her, sending a small shockwave around her. Up Smash: Wicked Weave Headbutt Bayonetta's hair disappears from her body as Madama Butterfly's head appears behind her and thrusts upwards. The higher the charge, the further up Madama Butterfly thrusts. Throw: Alruna The whip, Alruna, appears in Bayonetta's hands and she thrusts it forwards, grabbing anybody nearby with about the same length as ZSS's whips. Once grabbed, Bayonetta pulls them in and kicks them in whatever direction is chosen. Alt: Jeanne Jeanne comes with new voice clips to represent her new characteristics, similar to Alph and the Koopalings. Additionally, all hair around Wicked Weaves are white instead of black, "Panther Within" becomes "Tiger Within" and Madama Styx's head appears instead of Madama Butterfly's in her Up-Smash I'm sure with some more thought a much more interesting Bayonetta could be made up, but that's what I'm thinking so far! Still struck with Mario's All Star and of course Kirby's Crazy Appetite: The Event Match that time forgot.
If it's not stage hazards killing me it's the other fighters during those two messes. I should look into doing online battling for the Wii U version so I can figure out a plan of attack for at least Mario All Star. Onto a brighter topic: I will definably get Mewtwo's DLC since he was one of my Melee mains. Tried Project M for a bit but lost interest before he showed up there. I want to see how he fares against Lucario! |

Thanks! I didn't mention alts like you did. I was thinking a Pokemon trainer's alts should be other trainers (Default being Red). I was considering both the male and female options, but that'd be 12 costumes, so I dunno (Not helped that only, like, 4 of them actually have actually spoken before)... I also realize that I never added a Final Smash (Or a Dash attack), but that's mainly because I couldn't think up one. 4 of the Pokemon I picked can Mega Evolve, but you can only have one at a time, so I'm kind of lost on how it'd work. That's pretty cool, actually. I haven't played much Bayonetta, so I can't quite comment on the moves themselves, but based on the multiple videos I've seen, it would be pretty sweet. Bayonetta is a character that I'd love for Nintendo to add. Especially if M Rated Snake could get in. I'm sure they could modify her a bit to make her a great character. I'm getting Mewtwo, too. He'd be awesome. However, I hope he's more than a touched up Melee character. Outside of Shadow Ball, I hated his Special moveset. I only played him for his awesome Normals and throws.

And it's not too hard. Unless you're trying to make the Excite Bike rider. I've been trying for a week and I got nothing except "He rides his motorcycle like Wario" ![]()

Since Matrix and Gaga did it I'll try something for Zero:
Neutral A: The classic three hit combo from X4 and X5. Dashing Attack: Shippuuga. Little to some knockback. Does one to three hits. Side tilt: Swings Z Saber with two hands horizontally. Down tilt: Crouching slash from X5. Up tilt: Swings Z Saber overhead. Side Smash: Charged Z Saber from Megaman Zero 1-4. Down Smash. Strong crouching attack from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Up Smash: Shoenzan from X6. Fire Damage. Neutral A Air:Kuuenzan. Spinning air attack Forward A Air: Default air attack from X4 and X5 Back A Air: Zero spins around and slashes behind him Up A Air: Swings Z Saber overhead in air. Down A Air: Sentsuizan. Falls down fast at an angle but does great damage. Specials: Normal B: Ensuizan. Can do this as long as there is shield but once shield is drained using this will put Zero in stun. Strong priority but little to no KO power. Custom Normal B 1: Three stage charge attack. Works like Wario's Down B. No charge: Purple torpedo charge with little damage. halfway charge: Yellow charge that works like mostly charged Super Scope shot. full charge: Two yellow charges and a weak Z Saber shot with each B button press. Custom Normal B 2: Time Stopper. Mid range attack that stuns. Cannot be absorbed but can be reflected. Up B: Ryuenjin. Fire Damage. Good recovery but only has killing power at start and end of move. During other times has sourspot hitbox. Custom Up B 1: Thunder Slash. Great recovery but not much KO power. Leaves electric trail from sword edge during move that does moderate damage but no knockback. Electric Damage. Custom Up B 2: Hyouryuushou. Awesome KO power but recovers like Little Mac's Up B. Ice damage. Down B: IN AIR: Hyouretsuzan. Decent falling speed. Does Ice damage. ON GROUND: Hyougetsujin. Ice wave that goes about 1/3 of Final Destination. Blocks projectiles but doesn't KO until around 300% Custom Down B 1:IN AIR: Enkoujin. Slow falling attack that does fire damage. When Zero hits the ground a fire pillar erupts from the platform the Z saber hits. ON GROUND: Fire Wave: Flamethrower that doesn't push characters as far as the Gust Bellows but does slight fire damage in return. Custom Down B 2: IN AIR: Rakukojin. Great KO power but bad endmove lag. When Zero hits the ground two Metal Anchors will go left and right that do weak slashing damage. ON GROUND: Guard Shell. Works like Palutena's Reflect special. Side B: ON GROUND: Raijingeki. Strong Electric stab with bad lag during move's end. IN AIR: Raikousen. Electric air dash that goes rather far. Can be easy to self KO without prior planning. Custom Side B 1: ON GROUND: Youdantotsu. Incredible launching power but is slow to both start and end. IN AIR.Hieijin. Homes in on closest enemy. Decent damage. Custom Side B 2: ON GROUND: Ice Javelin. Multi hit slashing ice projective that does moderate damage but doesn't really KO until higher damages. IN AIR: Ice Dash. Multi hitting ice attack that has some Super Armor. Final Smash: Tenshuoha. Shines a beam of light around Zero about 2 Marios wide. Does LOTS of damage with some knockback to it too. Ledge Attacks: Under 100: Quick hop with a slash at the end. 100 and over: Strong flipping slash attack ala Ike's Up B. Grabs: A: Punches. Up: Throws victim up and stabs them with Z Saber. Down: Just judo throws them down. No KO power but high damage. Forward: Overhead toss. Backwards: Elbows victim in stomach strongly. Alternate colors: NOTE; Zero is using his X series armor. 1: Normal red and black costume from X2 to X8. Green Z Saber. 2: Burgundy and purple color scheme. Ultimate Armor from Zero series. light blue Z Saber 3: Black and dark grey. Ultimate Armor from X series. Pink Z Saber. 4: Blue and turquoise. Mega Man X's default color scheme. Orange Z Saber. 5: Pink and black. Ciel's outfit from Zero series. Lime green Z Saber. 6: Green and brown. Because green's a good color. Blood Red Z Saber. 7: Purple and wine red. Maverick/Nightmare Zero. Dark Grey Z Saber. 8: Yellow and black. Energy Form from Zero 2. Cyan Z Saber.

OK real talk here.
Has anyone's Wii U Smash bricked on them? I found out before that happened to mine and took the game out before that went down. Hopefully Nintendo will fix this soon so we can all enjoy what could be the last SSB by Sakurai. To translate: |
