Man, I wish this is what the entire show was like. The show improves like 300% without the comic relief characters from the Special Crimes Unit. This was much more dramatic and intense and I freaking loved it.

That would be cool, a kamen rider show where no one knows the rider as he fights in the background while two detectives in the forground work out whats going on between the rider and the monsters he fights against as a bigger conspiracy unfolds, or something to that nature

I enjoyed this episode, I like Proto-Drive a lot more now, but I don't think the whole show would be better if it was always like this.

I meant more in terms of tone than in how the Rider was implemented. I'm fine with Drive working in the open like he does now, but I wish the show was more serious. I thought the way Shinnosuke and his partner were working here was far more interesting than seeing him walk around in that goofy lightbulb hat or bumming around the cafeteria until something causes a tie-straigthening.
