I just thought it was stupid because Rudolph is a freaking Reindeer, not a TARDIS owned by an idiot Time Lord or a coach, presumably fixed up by said idiot Time Lord. At least Ood Sigma agrees that it sucks.

Today's Questions from the TARDIS tin video is great. Michelle Gomez is delightfully bonkers! https://www.doctorwhocountdowntochristmas.com/ |

https://www.humblebundle.com/books If you've been on the fence about plunging into the Big Finish audios I urge you to take advantage of this amazing offer and listen to the kind of stories the show should be striving for.

Posting the short version since it's Christmas and family festivities and all that. Wasn't godawful but meh. Just because you admit to shamelessly ripping popular sci-fi off it doesn't make it any more acceptable Moffat.

Aside from Moffat doing his best The Thing impersonation? The ending was amazing. Old Clara, telling him no man could replace him. The perfect ending... And then Moffat went and ruined it by having it be another dream.

I liked it; it was nice to see a low-stakes Christmas special after the last couple. It's not one of the best Doctor Who episodes ever, but it was fun, had some good humor, and there were some nice emotional bits. I had my suspicions about the dream part, but I was totally taken in by the fake-out with Clara at the end. Better than some Christmas specials, not as good as others. Glad to see Clara staying around; Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi have great chemistry together. Just maybe readjust the Doctor:Clara ratio next season. |
