If it weren't for that I'd just stick with HLJ and the like. EDIT: Yeesh, then again given the prices on the site you linked even with the unpredictable dollar HLJ is a better route. Guess I'll stick with them, but I gotta at least compare y'know? Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 02-01-2015 at 08:30 PM.. |

Yeah, like I said: if you're picking up locally, they're prices aren't too bad. usually it equates to HLJ's pricing plus EMS shipping and maybe a small mark up to cover costs.

Their site says they don't do pick-ups, though.

Anime X Treme is my go to place:
http://animextreme.ca/ They're prices are fair for local pick up, dunno about ordering from them though. Just curious: why order from a Canadian site and not one of the Japanese stores? Last edited by Infinitevirtue; 02-01-2015 at 11:32 PM.. |

Have you tried Hobbywave? Their prices are pretty reasonable and they have a flat rate shipping of $18 no matter what you order. I think the only downside might be what they have in stock at a given moment. But I bought from them once and I got my order in 2-3 days because they have Canadian warehouse. Worth a shot.

Ah, didn't realize that. It's been a while since I bought from them. It kind of sucks to be in Canada with the limited choices locally.

The crappy thing is that most of these places are either too far out or way over priced, thus far the place I linked is the best one. |

Eh, not really. There's tons of hobby shops and toy stores in the area that sells Gunpla aside from AnimeXtreme not to mention a big Anime convention in May that brings dealers from all over in.

I think I've figured out what's wrong with 00... it's how it's spit in half. I think the writer intended it to be a single 50 episode season, with 1/3 being devoted to the events before the 5-year time skip and 2/3 of the episodes devoted to the time after. But because the show had to be cut cleanly in half with the time skip in between, the first part had to be stretched out and the second part condensed. That would explain the odd pacing.
