I know what you're thinking, "but it already does!" But I say it doesn't.
Imagine if Maddy and Vida did a cheer routine to destroy a monster, if the Dino Thunder Rangers fought the monster seen in Lost and Found in Translation, if Atonio Morphed using a peice of sushi, if Dr. K designed the Road Attack Zords to have artificial intelligence and wacky personalities, and so on and so forth. There is plenty of zany stuff in the Sentai that isn't in PR, but considering how networks are going more for comedy these days, would you like to see Power Rangers be more quirky and funny like the Sentai is or do you want it to stay the more lighthearted-yet-serious kids show it's always kinda been? |

Wait...Power Rangers isn't goofy and quirky? You honestly could've fooled me.
There have only been, like, 4 legitimately serious PR series (In Space, Time Force, SPD, and RPM...Maybe Lightspeed...), and the rest have all been goofy fun series with serious moments (Which, honestly, is basically how Sentai operates as a whole...). Power Rangers is fine as it is.

I'm for the more serious side. I'm okay with power rangers being a bit goofy at times but not so much that it ruins the mood.

Power rangers is in the unque opertunity to be more funny but they also need to be serious. (not half assed funny like saumrai-megafarce).
Power rangers should be more like Akiba ranger. that should be thier standard. That show triumphed becuase it was funny and playful at heart while being super selfaware but also had a very serious undertone (like most modern sentai shows). Ir rather they focus on the serious side of the show more, we have had over 20 yrs os show that has both tried and failed to be funny/ qurky but the best seasons are the ones that stratle that line without making it unnecessary. like Ziggy(rpm),Doctor K(rpm),Domnic (jungle fury) ect ect. |
