Test the waters how? The film is without a doubt the polar opposite of what Lionsgate and Saban will want/do.

They will not go down this route no matter what. I kinda hope that they don't actually.

The same can be said for Riku Sanjo as well. It's OK to share your vision but there has to be compromise as well. Look at what happened to DC once Dan Didio turned the comics into the grimdarkest New 52.

Sometimes you have to know when to not do some things. I wish the makers of Power/Rangers knew that.
