Iceman fans who are curious as to why a guy who tried so hard to split Havok and Polaris up (besides the fact that Havok is an asshole) is now suddenly gay because Jean Grey (really Bendis) says so.

Also because they imply simply having repeated failed straight relationships=you're really gay. And that Old Jean and Prof. X knew what Bobby was secretly going through, and didn't support him in any way despite claiming to care for him, since he pushed himself into the armored closet out of fear. Like they aren't already targeted by giant killer robots already.

Honestly, part of me is curious if Bendis made Iceman gay partly because of that annoying "WE NEED MORE GAY CHARACTERS! MORE GAYS MORE PROGRESSIVE! WHO CARES IF ITS TOKEN?! YOURE A HOMOPHOBE!" thing (seriously, if you want to make a gay character, cool, go ahead, nothing's stopping you. But please don't do it so tokenly. No one likes tokens. At all. Especially not actual gay people. Any minority hates tokens) and also partly because of this:
