That'll be double the episode's she's already had. Good ratio to have before she dies again

I think The Woman Who Lived is my favourite of series nine so far.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of Maisie Williams. I like how episodes five and six could be considered "standalone" stories as well as a two-parter.

Still need to catch up on series nine. Doesn't help that my family just switched cable providers, so now I lost all of my DVR recordings. :c

I am a huge sucker for "living with immortality" stories, so this episode was right the hell up my alley. I got a ton of flashbacks to Hob Gadling from Sandman this week, which is by all means a compliment. Capaldi continues to completely nail the role and Maisie Williams was fantastic as Me. The stuff with the lion dude felt really tacked on and underdeveloped, but it didn't take away from the episode.
Also, bonus points for the references to The Visitation and Captain Jack. Meanwhile, I'm sure Sentai will wet himself with excitement when he sees the trailer for next week. ![]() |

Ahem.
OSGOOD OSGOOD IT'S MUTHAFUCKING OSGOOD! OH IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME SHE SHOWS UP IN THE DAMN SHOW! NOW THE DOCTOR CAN SAVE HER, AND DITCH CLARA, AND OSGOOD CAN BE THE COMPANION LIKE IT ALWAYS SHOULD'VE BEEN! DOCTOR AND OSGOOD FOREVER! ... Moving on. Clara said the words tonight. The words every single companion since Rose Tyler says before they're never heard of again... "I'll never leave" "I'm not going anywhere" And BAM. Gone. And it pisses me off. Clara had the perfect ending, the absolute perfect goodbye, but then she had to decide to stay and ruin the whole thing. Now.. who knows what'll happen. Long as I get Osgood in the TARDIS I don't much care either. OSGOOD! |

That was a great episode.
Next week I'm not so sure about. On the one hand Zygons, on the other Osgood ![]()

What could've given you that impression? ... OSGOOD!
Ooooh you wait. Now, now the Doctor knows she's alive again and what's going to happen is he's going to realize the cosmic mistake he made not taking her sooner and she's going to become the new companion and Clara will go back to being a full-time sassy eteacher the hell away from my television somewhere because Osgood is back! |

Damn, that was a good episode. Immortality stories, especially people who don't want immortality, are great, and this one was no exception. Especially since we didn't have attention sponge Clara to take away from Ashildr... Me... What are we supposed to call her again?
Plus, Captain Jack reference. Everyone loves Captain Jack reference ![]() Anyway, next week we have Zygons (YAY!) With Osgood (Eh.) By the writer of Kill the Moon (... oh dear no...) |
