I'm convinced that 9 out of 10 people who talk about Ghost on this forum haven't watched more than three episodes, and their ignorance is directly proportionate to their vitriol.

Almost certainly. It looks that way written out in English, but the "mu" in "emu" is pronounced like the sound a cow makes, and not like the Pokemon.

Emulators honestly sound like a weird thing to name your protagonist after anyway. There's a million other video game related words to choose from.

Honestly, it's been that way since Den-O. Despite it's reputation, Kiva starts out quite lighthearted and only really goes into the melodrama in the second half or so, and Decade is full of humor throughout. I do think it's been a little more pronounced with Ghost, but people make it seem like a bigger thing than it is.

I actually really wish we still were getting shows like Ryuki or Blade, but I don't let it distract from how good the newer shows still are. They're very different, but I feel like they still have the same heart, if that makes any sense.

I got up to episode 9 or 10, stop after that. I find the slap stick to be unfunny and the side characters to be annoying. When Den-O did it, it was funny and it was written better in my opinion.

People feel like Toei has tone down their shows in general. Not just Toku, I see people feel like Toei has made their anime more light hearted. Like how most fans view Dragon Ball Super as more childish and less violent compare to DBZ.

There is no way to tell for sure. The show can be very goofy for we all know. I know Kamen Rider is market to kids, but kids shows can have serious story driven plots. I feel like a Kamen Rider show is always the best when it has a serious story driven plot with some humor thrown in here and there.

I mean... maybe? I'm more inclined to believe that the people who are complaining don't realize how childish these franchises have been all along.

I think that fans selectively remember the "badass" stuff from their childhood favorites and conveniently forget all of the juvenilia. DBZ is a good example. There's nothing more kiddie-centric in DB Super than Goku hanging out with King Kai and Mr Popo in DBZ. Fans don't necessarily remember that stuff as childish, though, probably because they were children when they first saw it.

Basically, Golden Age Syndrome is a very, very real thing in fandom.

I'd take Faiz-like over Gaim-like any day. Though if this was the same level of silly/serious that Ghost and Drive have done that would be good for me.

The more of your comments I read the more I believe you’re actually me from a mirror world where everything and everyone is the exact opposite of the things and people which exist in this world.

Because I think Faiz is pretty much the worst, I've watched the first 3 episodes and already wanted to jump out of a nearby window to end the pain. I haven’t found the strength to continue ever since. So I would take anything over another Faiz-like show, and if they would be able to do something fresh like Gaim again? Sign me up.

And as far as the division between serious and comedy time goes, Drive and Ghost are really terrible at it, I hope Ex-Aid does it a lot better.

I must be from the same universe then, because I actually really like Faiz. I can very much see how a lot of people don't like it, and I'd normally consider myself opposed to things that try too hard to be "dark" for the hell of it, but I find it a very endearing show with well-developed characters, unique themes for Kamen Rider, and well done fight scenes the whole way through.

At any rate, I actually really like the idea of Ex-Aid being serious in some manner. Kamen Rider has always had an ability to take stupid ideas completely seriously and make it work, and as much as I love Drive and Ghost, I wouldn't mind something different again.
