Assuming Archowl is real, I may do Rowlet. Asuuming Final Seal goes back to Clownhood, I may go that route and name it Pagliacci. If it goes full Seal Woman, and I like how it looks, I'll soft Reset for a girl and name her Saoirse or Bronagh. |

I hope to god the blatantly feminine direction they're taking Popplio's line in is an indicator that starter gender ratios are less bullshit this time around. I still do not understand why the hell it's 8:1.

Likely you just download off the eShop. Sun/Moon are already changing a lot of things up. Perhaps the starters' gender ratio might just be one of them.

The Fennekin line was feminine too, sure, but Brionne is another level above, for one reason: eyelashes. That sort of minor secondary sexual characteristic is cartoon code for "almost definitely a girl." Braixen didn't have that. All I'm asking for is 1:1 really...limiting breedability is probably the reason but it's obnoxious and pointless in itself. |

And well Gorebyss I'd like to be able to get female starters without having to reset the game 20 times too but if they didn't do it with Braixen I don't think they'll change the ratio for Brionne. Although after Mega Gardevoir I'm convinced GameFreak's just fucking with us.*seriously look at that thing and tell me it doesn't look like a woman wearing gloves and a gown* Last edited by Yellow Ranger; 10-04-2016 at 02:51 PM.. |

Considering connecting with other players is far easier, it's no longer very difficult to get a female starter. I hope it means they make the ratios a lot better because of it so I don't pull my hair out trying to get a female Popplio (And if the ratios ARE improved, I might even soft reset for a good nature, something I've only done once, back in White 2 ) Quote: Braixen was named after a vixen*Y'know a FEMALE fox*...*grumbles at Nintendo/GameFreak* and had "pigtails" and a "skirt" though. And well Gorebyss I'd like to be able to get female starters without having to reset the game 20 times too but if they didn't do it with Braixen I don't think they'll change the ratio for Brionne. Although after Mega Gardevoir I'm convinced GameFreak's just fucking with us.*seriously look at that thing and tell me it doesn't look like a woman wearing gloves and a gown* The dress could easily be construed as a wizard robe because it was a magician with a wand. As for Gardevoir, the entire point of Gallade was so male Ralts wouldn't have to always become gender confused (Though I intentionally made sure my Mega Gardevoir was male~) But like I said, we already have a Pokemon game with no gyms, the ability to IV train, more improved EV training, and (Possibly) no Pokemon league. Don't take XY's lack of improved starter gender ratio as confirmation that they'll never change it considering the massive list of changes to Pokemon that most people assumed would never occur.

They were just going for the pun. The dress could easily be construed as a wizard robe because it was a magician with a wand. But like you said if you really want a female starter could always ask for a trade online if the OT being different doesn't bother you. |
