Eh I still prefer the original but Crystal does have beautiful animation from what little I've seen of it.

What I like most about Crystal is that it follows the manga closer than the original anime did. Yeah there are some minor differences, though at this moment I can't recall, but it still good.

Because the villains are nothing more than a reason for the Soldiers to even exist. They are not developed in the slightest. Also, Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibi-Usa are the only characters to be developed at all and Usagi is an even bigger selfish asshat than she was in the anime.

I thought the little issues I had with the manga was because of reading comprehension or speeding through certain areas too quickly, but nope, Crystal showed me it was just piss poor story telling.

Yeah, that's kind of one of the issues I have with the 90's anime series and I have nothing but love for the series. I mean, say what you will about Crystal and the original manga but at least Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask was more or less shown to be something of capable fighter in his own right. Same can be arguably be said about Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon as well.
