I swear that is what I do. Watched W with my Greek friend because he likes mysteries. Picked out Fourze and Kabuto with my mom because she wanted something fluffy / she got tired of fluffy. It's just really hard to get the first step over with and get them to actually give it a shot.

For me, well, you have to keep in mind I'm in my mid-forties and, at that age, even nerds are just more resistant to new things. I have friends who love 70's kaiju and cutesy stuff like Kuri Kuri Takura who've sniffed at Kamen Rider because "Power Rangers".

It's frustrating / embarrassing because I know that, if they gave it a chance, they'd become diehards like me!

Foundation X are overhyped and really should just have stayed in W.

Their influence really cheapens how omniscient and influential other groups - like the Kougami Foundation are, and for that reason I hope they stay the hell away from Gaim and Drive (Thankfully, Ex-Aid's Foundation X Energy Item case seems to suggest that they are).

The whole thing with Drive was that Krim and Banno COULDN'T get funding for the Roidmudes, so Foundation X literally does not fit in there whatsoever

I generally agree. It was a cool idea at the time, but the lack of follow-up mixed with fan expectations really killed my enthusiasm for them.

Let's revive this thread for a bit. I'm really sad at how wasted Kamen Rider Poppy was. As far as female Kamen Riders go, I'm tempted to say that she got a worse treatment than Necrom P. At least Necrom P started and ended in the 3 minutes it debuted. Kamen Rider Poppy showed up in episode 26 with a cool fight scene and then didn't do anything really worthwhile for the rest of the series.

At least Poppy's character was good and her not fighting is consistent with her peaceful nature

I think any Toku gets mock out in the US sadly. I remember being a kid and how people laugh at me for liking Godzilla. When I told them "Why is it okay for American films to use miniatures and suits, but not stuff like Godzilla". I even had people told me that they would like the 1998 Godzilla (This was years before the 2014 movie) better than the Japanese movies because it has better special effects.

I don't like it when people have bad standers when it comes to stuff like special effects or animation.
