So is the Rainbow Rocket stuff actual story or some sort of Battle Frontier style thing? I haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention to this release but this bit of news has caught my interest.

It's story, most likely post game like the Looker stuff from XY and Delta Emerald in ORAS.

I don't think it's Mega Evolution hate. They showed both Mega Mewtwo's in the trailer and it wouldn't surprise me if Giovanni used them depending on the version you're playing. They could even give the other bosses a Legendary to use since Giovanni has Mewtwo.

Somebody pointed out (and his actions in the trailer do seem to support this) that it seems Guzma's a full good guy during this Rainbow Rocket bit. No chain, straight glasses, no tattoo. Cleaned up his act. Which is cool since he's pretty much the best SM character.

The Plaza is still in, they confirmed that in an interview. Hopefully they just made it less of a pain to search through.

Just saw Pokemon I choose you I have say I love movie mius some stuff near the end but it was fun fresh take on ash. Also love this film ash charizard more then the original. Plus code for movie pikachu hat is a QR code what only works for Ultra syn and ultra moon only

Saw the movie today as well and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. I think the fact it was an AU worked in its favour, since it made it feel different even it was basically following the same Pokemon movie tropes at its core.

Sorrel and Verity are still basically just budget Misty and Brock, but I didn't hate them.

Biggest highlight of the film for me was the way they handled Charmander's arc. Really good for something that was crammed into a one-off movie.
