It does throw you a bit if you aren't expecting it I guess, but I knew about it going in so it probably didn't phase me as much. It perhaps might come off better in the original Japanese audio, as the English voice is pretty ill-fitting though.

Honestly though, I think a lot of the people who complain about it are over exaggerating. They act as if the scene is meant to me taken literally, when to me it felt symbolic. Maybe that's just me reading it differently though *shrug*

It comes across a whole lot better in Japanese mostly because Pikachus actor is the same.

A look at Wicked Cool Toys' first Pokemon toys:

Not bad. Still really like what Takara's been doing with actually adding articulation though. Some of the WCT ones have are a little, but just barely. Had the Litten/Torracat/Incineroar pack in my hand ready to buy the other day and backed out but kinda want to go back and hope I can still find it in stock..

Meanwhile, Mattel's still IMO knocking it out of the park with their Mega Construx. So much to look forward to there.
