It didn't have an actual card reader. It just played (three, I think) sounds in order as long as there were cards there.

Hopefully. The CSM Diendriver could read cards and had relevant sounds -- we can only hope this DX toy took cues from that.

Super Hero Taisen as a series made me dislike Diend, Gokai Blue, the Kyurangers, the original Gavan, and every single Showa Rider

I did, and I did not come away with that impression, I was instead somewhat confused because at that point I knew very very little about Rider as a franchise and DiEnd/Decade's dynamic. However he spent the entire film acting like a jilted ex still pining over his old boyfriend, which given my limited understanding both then and now, seemed to be perfectly in character.

I really dislike Showa Era villains in Super Hero Taisen because most of them are really boring villains in this movie.....

They announced the release date for September, I only hope that the Neo Diend driver has a card reader and that all the new cards will work with the Neo Decade Driver.
