I think James Gunn getting people into Kamen Rider is a good thing. People who like gatekeeping is a bad thing because they want things all to themselves.

Let us try our best to be inclusive here. At the end of the day were here to watch people in suits shoot colorful bursts of CGI and pyrotechnics at each other. Whoa, really?!? That's news to me! The more this conversation goes on, the more I have to wonder if anyone complaining about social justice types have actually... met any... because in my experience, a lot of them reject very obvious pandering attempts; have wildly varying opinions on media like SU and RWBY; and those that actually know about Toku tend to adore it. Just a very different picture from what's being imagined here is all I'm saying.

I don't know why, I feel like James Gunn is more likely to direct an Ultraman adaptation more than a Kamen Rider adaptation. Mostly because Ultraman is aggressively pushing their western push while Kamen Rider is barely starting. Plus Gunn feels more fitting to be with Ultraman I think.

I'd be down for a Gunn directed Ultraman film. There's always just been something about Ultraman that really keeps me from getting hooked.
