So, if Sw/Sh are compatible with the upcoming gen 4 remakes, would that mean that, by virtue of Gen 4's Pokemon list, the national dex will include all Pokemon up to Gen 4?

Please no, that’s leaving out half the Pokémon, way worse than when Sword/Shield did it.

Well, that's not what I mean. I'm just thinking, if it's compatible with Sw/Sh, then that likely means that any missing Pokemon from gens 1-4 will be returned in addition to what we have now.

Also, here's a thought. Since this is the first remake since the advent of regional forms, what are the chances we may get, say, 5 or 6 new Sinnoh forms for some Pokemon?

I get the feeling that everything missing is being brought back with BDSP's release, given what's in Sinnoh and what we've seen in Legends already.

I actually do hope Sinnoh Forms are a thing, though mainly I'm still waiting for them to bring Mega Forms backs. Alot of the Gigantamax designs being ones that could've easily worked as Megas only made their exclusion sting even harder.

Doubt there will be any Sinnoh forms. The remake will most likely just be an exact copy of the original. Think they just pushed this one out just to have a main-ish game this year. My guess is their focus is mainly on Legends because I think they even said they had another company involved in the remake unless I heard it wrong.

But it sadly doesn't mean will be good. It matters on how much this company is allowed to do.
