If anyone ever feels dumb at least they won't feel as dumb as me right now. Let's just say I mixed up an absolute and relative file path when using a recursive remove command and lost all the files on my computer. I have a computer science degree. Having a fancy degree can't save anyone from being a dumbass though! Remember everyone "home" and "/home" are very, veryyyyy different!

I'm not the type to get too attached to my files, but I am annoyed at some of the game saves I lost. Still, I whacked the computer back into shape so it is usable again at least, I was a little nervous I had bricked the dang thing for a minute! The silliest part of the whole ordeal is that I deleted all my files in an attempt to... recover a file I accidentally deleted. Truly mankind's hubris knows no bounds. 😅

So I've been playing Souls Games for like what, 10 years now? 11? Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne, the whole shebang. I'm 40 hours into Elden Ring. ... Why did no one ever bother to tell me how much fun parrying is in these games? It's too good. 4 spectral knights gang up on you? Parry each one by one, they can't do anything. Get lost idiots. Giant guy with a lightning peg leg tries to swing his frost lance at you? Parried son, the heck outta here. There's no better feeling than lifting the game that tries to torment you by the scruff of the neck and say "No more" in its face. I mean I did parry in Bloodborne because there were no shields so you kind of had to sometimes, but in Dark Souls? There always were giant shields so I used them. But now? Rolling and parrying only. It's so much fun, I haven't blocked once in the last like 15-20 hours I played in this game. Although you do eat a lot of attacks while learning so it's more comfortable when you have enough healing. Sip some magic soda, -tis but a scratch. |

Look at this huge goddamn slab of metal that somehow counts as a sword! They will do you absolutely NO GOOD."

Out of curiosity how come Den-O has stopped making galleries? I really miss those. And I apologize if this is not the right place to ask this.
