Well Shout Factory has been putting out the Ranger sets so my line of thinking is that Entertainment One wants to catch up to Zen then if post MMPR is strong enough then release 1975 - Turbo Ranger. Each time a Post MMPR I set takes off they tend to want to bring over the next one so we would likely get Magi and Bouken out of the gate. That's why Shout picked up Deka now. The shows we got are over 20 years old.

In 27 months it actually will be the real 2025. I'm curious to see what things will be like in reality during Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta. Space Patrol Delta was made 22 years ago in 2005. Call this one curiosity I guess. Back To The Future 2 said the Cubs had won the World Series.

You mean 25 months? A bit early to think about 2025 though, let's try and survive 2023 and 24 first

By the way, I will take this opportunity to write about what I have been thinking about for a long time. Judging by the lack of access to them on YouTube, the seasons of Sentai to Zyuranger are also under the copyright of the Power Rangers. Obviously, footage from such old shows will not be used, so why not use their story? Shoot a blockbuster, like a 2017 movie, based on the Jetmans or the Livemen, and an audience that hasn't seen the originals will be delighted.

I watched Disney's The Little Mermaid Live (2019) this morning. It was an interesting attempt. I wonder if other movies will be done that way soon as the films were already made. 5 Man and Jet Man Both are on DVD from Shout Factory so they could use the DVD sets for reference and scene match when they re film. As for 1975 to Turbo Ranger they can do the same thing if those shows are out on DVD or VHS. Any series pre Five Man would be a problem if the episodes aren't released in any form. Rider shows are less of problem due to DVD and Blu Ray sets out. It would come down to license to use the filmed footage on disk

Disney has been doing stage adaptations of their big musicals for decades now. Heck, most of the live theater scene seems to just be stage adaptations of Hollywood movies. If you really want your mind blown, the lead actor of Kamen Rider Drive starred in a stage adaptation of 17 Again. Why did they adapt that for the stage? Why did they do it in Japan?! It’s crazy. I have personally been to a couple theatrical performances of Disney Musicals, and it’s a lot of fun. Plenty of material for Disney to pull from there if they ever need to pop a rating on ABC or something. |

I went to Back to the Future: The Musical the other night. Was actually really fun, some great live visual effects and the right kind of chaotic-but-heartfelt energy for that kind of show. Plus, legitimately good songs too? Helped by working in the classic BttF rif which has been stuck in there for days now.
