So a buddy of mine shared this link. https://www.instagram.com/p/CxRRZa9N...RlODBiNWFlZA== Entwistle is apparently still developing a hard reboot show for an older demographic with no connection to Sentai or the last 30 years of canon! It's taking too long and has been a project since 2019/2020. In all likelihood, COVID was a key factor in delaying it. Apparently, Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury are mere stopgaps until they can get this finished. |

I was very confused at first because I thought this was referring to the bassist of The Who, who passed away in 2002 Anyways, I'd really like to see them branch PR off into its own thing. It's basically already there, with the games and comics proving that it can be done and there is an audience for it. Now it's just a matter of whether or not the Sentai footage is holding it back or enabling its existence. That, I cannot say.

But WHY though, PR is just so lame in and of itself.

It's the latter. In my experience, most of the people claiming the former are either those who already don't like the franchise in the first place, or those ignorant of the various ways both shows have helped eachother evolve over time, which can still be seen even up to today.

Sometimes I can't help but roll my eyes when I see a Rangers project aimed at an older crowd. I think you can still tell meaningful and engaging stories without the lens of "maturity" I'm open to it, but sometimes I think they're just overthinking it

				 | Quote: They surrendered to the idea that Power Rangers is "childish" or simply "laughable" and are trying to engage in fan-film logic and make it as mature as the people who saw it first back in the day are now. Like you, I'm willing to give them a chance. That said, I'm less than optimistic and and I'm only willing to give such a reboot a seasons-worth of episodes to prove itself. If it fails, they need to consider going back to Sentai or selling the Rights. |
