I loved this show,. The characters were so fun and well developed, and the concept of the show is great, only thing is the plot is more serialised than other Sentai so it might take me a while to adjust to the more episodic shows.

Yes, King Ohger is a great show. Very engaging, typical, and unusual. As a transition to more episodic shows, I would recommend Kiramager. While the structure is clearly episodic, new elements are often added to the narrative, creating a sense of plot development. Or you could try classics like Jetman or Liveman.

If I knew you were planning to watch King-Ohger for your first Sentai, I would've advised you to start with something else. Like you said, this show does not follow the Sentai formula, you've got a dynamic of 5 leaders who have to figure out how to work together and a totally unique world with its own cultures and lore separate from Japan, so it doesn't really give you a solid concept of the series. Judging on its own merits though, I think King-Ohger is one of the best Sentai I've watched for sure!
Speaking from experience, I started Rider with Decade, which was likely a mistake. While I enjoyed it, I wouldn't recommend it for a first Rider. Zenkaiger and Gozyuger on the other hand seem like they could be great starting points, as they celebrate the legendary Sentai without confusing (Decade/Zi-O) or spoiling (Gokaiger/Zi-O) the viewer and they mostly stick to formula.
