I mean, comic relief still adds to the show, just in a trivial way. Besides, I like this show's take on Bulk and Skull.

I mean, kinda, but he has emotions. He just can't properly process them.

The thing is, they're not really that funny. Maybe the way they're acted is supposed to be funny, but they don't actually do or say anything funny. They're annoying & they act like jerks, even to each other. I wouldn't even think kids would like them. Bulk & Skull were at least attempts at humor where they're given lines & physical comedy to make the kids laugh.
