Kiki has been kidnapped by someone!? Relying on the Kanky Emorgear left behind at the scene of her disappearance, Kotobuki begins the search. Kunai, who has crossed dimensions to arrive on MultiEarth I5109, also joins the investigation.

And they were roommates.
Fun episode, though not without some minor quibbles. Kunai continues to become an increasingly absurd character with his quest for mint taking him to another universe. His ninja antics were fun this episode, but his presence felt a bit at odds with the fact this was supposed to be an episode about Kiki and Koto specifically, even to the point where Koto doesn't do much. Reiji also just kinda feels there for the sake of it. |

A sweet and funny episode. This time, the show decided not to overwhelm the audience with action, instead focusing on the hilarious character interactions. I also liked the ghost-alien romance. It has a strong Ultraman vibe. It's also interesting that the bond between Kiki and Koto is so strong that Kunai considers them a two-in-one Gavan. And the mint, as a reminder of their different universes, is also funny.
But the next episode promises to be more serious due to the Death Gavan connection. Moreover, the latter will appear without armor. And although I knew he was played by the actor Zero from Garo, the similarity of the costume caught me off guard. P.S. It's also funny that Raiya impressed Kick with a trick that ninja heroes pulled back in the 90s. |
