The starters are apparently based on a Circus Theme just like how Kalos' were based on RPG classes.

Rowlet- Ring Leader(The Bow Tie)
Litten- Fire Breather/Big Cat jumping through ring of fire
Popplio- Clown/ Circus Seals

Popplio is winning for me but I love them all they are adorable. I might get all three lol.

I like the Owl and Cat starter. I don't care for the water starter since they already did a seal starter Pokemon with Oshawott a while back.

Oshawott was an aquatic mustelid, not a pinniped.

Samuwott was a pinniped, but this is a true pinniped starter.

Alola region? I'm assuming Hawaii.

Starters looked cool. I kinda want all of them back. Also, the character designs are XY, so it's not too surprising to realize customization would return.

Legendaries look cool. There's no way I'm not going for Sun~
