Yeah, the drama was a little much for some people, but lots loved it for that very reason, too.

I say 1998 - 2001 Saban was the best. I find most of the Disney era to be pretty bad. It's better then Neo Saban, but not that's saying much in my opinion.
My rankings would be: 1998 - 2001 Saban Early Saban 1993 - 1997 Disney 2002 - 2009 2011 - current Saban Putting early Saban was kinda hard to do since I don't think MMPR aged very well since I find the humor, writing and most of the characters to be bad. At least ZEO is still decent. |

Early Saban isn't that good as MMPR definitely hasn't aged well at all and Zeo isn't as good as everyone claims, but the Saban era as a whole was fairly good. Even series that weren't amazing, like Lightspeed or Lost Galaxy, were still pretty good.

Turbo is still awful and will always be in my opinion. Zeo is not a good or great show, but I do like it for taking the series into something new. MMPR was getting kinda old by 1995, so taking Ohranger footage and doing a new show instead doing MMPR season 4 was the best way to go in my opinion. When re-watching Zeo, I find myself liking it more then MMPR.

I actually found myself really, really enjoying Turbo once the Zeo cast left.
Granted, I'm the only one on the planet who enjoys Turbo, but still ![]() Zeo was actually one of the harder sit throughs I encountered during my rewatch, honestly.

I liked both the original Saban and Disney era. I felt both had their ups a downs, but both put a lot more effort into it as opposed to Neo-Saban as of recently.

I'd go Classic Saban, then Disney, then Saban Brands.
Classic Saban was bold and daring, and set the standard for Power Rangers after that. With Judd Lynn writing mid-Turbo to Time Force, Power Rangers soared to different heights, and though it didn't always succeed, it was always brave and innovative. Disney was a hit and miss, but they still did a ton of fun things, with a few gems of seasons in them too. Saban Brands ... I really hope they pick up steam next year. That's a misconception on their part, though. RPM was actually a pretty comedic series, it's just set in a darker backdrop. It's not all gloomy and dull.

Saban era. A time when the merch was not diluted to the point of disgust. Kids of the 90s had it good.
