I watched Futari Wa, episode 1!
Dub, so I'm going to use there english names. So there's Natalie, a sporty girl, and Hannah, a nerd. And then you throw in some annoying alien things and a white haired, mysterious....bad guy. And I actually liked it. It wasn't bad, and I love how it pokes fun at the random shouting of attack names, transformation speeches, and inappropriate clothing. I am soooo gonna keep watching this.

"Doki Doki Pretty Cure: Mana is getting married!!? The dress of hope that connects to the future."
Long title is long, anyways, the story was simple and nothing new (the usual caught inside their memories deal), but in it's simplcity lied the charm, and sure it's another story the deal mostly around Mana, but this one showed her flaws and had good scenes for everybody... except Ace, she was simply there. The action was good, the twist... suprisingly shocking, and the use of CGI didn't bother me much, it was done well, what shocked me the most was the Blood! There was blood!, as a form of watcher participation the movie included the Miracle Bouquet Lights, I don't mind the idea, it's a kids movie after all, but even if Ai, usually drops upgrades with no problem or care, the idea that she can simply proudce miracle producing items felt really forced, and for having such an important role, the lights felt out of place, an after thought at most. It was fun, had a simple but good lesson, animation was good, action excellent, so all in all, I really liked it. ![]() I liked that Mana was the one ready to give in for a change and pretty much had to be pulled out of it by the others. I know some people really didn't like how she was handled through-out the series and I think if the final episode had her actually being corrupted by the darkness and having to be rescued by the others, instead of just being immune to everything then that probably would have helped her overall image a lot. But yeah. Pretty by the numbers movie and reasonably enjoyable. My only complaint would be the complete absence of Regina. I'm guessing they just didn't know what they were going to do with her when they put together the movie, but not even having her show up at Mana's wedding when the two spend the whole series gushing over each other is pretty unbelievable. Unless of course she was the one Mana was getting married to, which would probably make a lot of sense. |

You mean the twist that the bad guy was the dog? I think I caught that as soon as he appeared

The clues were there, and i guess I should have picked up earlier but I did not expect a frigging dog to be the villain, dogs go "woof! Woof!" and stuff, they don't pariticpate in elaborate plans for revenge. ![]() She is a very fun character, but she does come across most of the time as unbreakable and flawless. If that's so, well, Regina got very tall ![]() |
