From the initial magazine scans I saw of Dinomaru I thought he'd be a new stand-alone Megazord, I totally didn't expect him to be an auxiliary Zord/Mecha for Shurikenjin.

I don't know anything about how buying DX toys usually goes. Like...is hlj the only place that's gonna carry this or...?

No, they won't. They were probably just the first. Give it a few months and you'll most likely find them everywhere.

Amiami will have it but they don't do preorders for dx kamen rider stuff anymore, so they'll have it when its released.

Though I predict this one will be harder to find at release as it looks like the last couple of dx drive items sold out pretty quick.

No preorders? Dang, that is really inconvenient. I already have amiami preorders for...pretty much the rest of this year, chucking in some dx stuff in would have been so easy. Guess I gotta keep my eyes peeled...
