Decided to randomly watch part of a Yugioh Gx episode subbed.
Whenever watching this show, I will be using the English names because that's easier to remember for me. Jaden's voice fits perfectly along with Chazz. But Yubel has that sexy yet threatening deep Japanese female voice that reminds me of Haman Karn for some reason. I find Jesse and Syrus' voices ridiculously feminine. Also, is it just me or does it sound really boring hearing them talk about the card effects in Japanese? Like it sounds super sterotypical anime monoluging yet its a critical part of a Yugioh series and it bores the shit out of me. Last edited by Powerman293; 07-21-2014 at 05:05 PM.. |

Which Japanese character is that? |

GX has been subbed for a few years by a guy named GymLeaderLance. The episodes were up on Youtube a few years go, but his account was eventually banned like all anime accounts usually do. I do believe there is a batch torrent out there with his subs out there since my buddy marathoned GX within the past year. I can vouch for the quality on them since I watched quite a few of the episodes he subbed.

So I gave Gundam 00 a second chance and watched episodes 4 and 5, and I'm starting 6 right now. I was turned off originally by the lack of, well, gundams (that's why I like Build Fighters so much, better mech-fight-to-stoyline ratio), but I've kind of gotten used to it. It still feels more like a political analysis of a possible future than a series that you'd expect to have giant mech suits, however, and that's a bit of a turn-off. Still, at least ep. 5 focused more on the individual characters.

When you say a lack of Gundams, you mean in terms of action or the low number of Gundams in general? Because this isn't Seed/Destiny or G Gundam where the Gundams are given out Oprah style. YOU GET A GUNDAM! YOU GET A GUNDAM! EVERYBODY GETS A BRAND NEW GUNDAM! |

Good to see people give the show a chance.

Don't worry, the action ramps up considerably by the end of the first season and season 2. And the movie.

I do love the OP at the second half of the first season.
