I'm really torn on which to get. I am a Power Rangers fan, but Super Sentai is definitely growing on me thanks to tv-nihon and it sure would be cool to have those Akiba Rangers accessories. Decisions decisions.

Like I said, the fact that I could secure a preorder successfully was worth the mark up for me. I tried to get Dragon Ranger on AA and HLJ with no luck, so Bluefin it was. The extra parts are a non factor for me in any decision. At least the big Daibouken shovel from Bouken Red might be in scale for SRC Daibouken. It's all about use value and opportunity cost with these toys.

If the boxes said "TyrannoRanger" and "DragonRanger", rather then the MMPR names, I'd actually prefer these boxes to the Japanese ones. I like that picture of Dragonranger and he can actually get in that pose, unlike the pose he's in on the box of the Japanese version. Weird how the MMPR ones kept the stone detailing around the edges which fits the theme of Zyuranger more then MMPR, while the Zyuranger ones left the detailing on the stones out.
The content, however, I think that the Powerful Ranger suits are an epic accessory and missing out on them is a rip-off, even if you're not an Akibaranger fan (that big ol' blank space to the left of Dragonranger's head is sad), so I'm way, way, way happier with the Japanese releases.

I don't really want to start an argument over this with anyone again so don't take this the wrong way. But here's my reasoning, buying the JP release not only means you get more accessories (ones intended to come with the figure), but it's also cheaper thanks to sites like HLJ and Amiami even if you use EMS shipping for one figure, and I get them nearly 2 months sooner. It's kind of a no brainer/win win to me at least.

No, his arms just do not have the articulation in order to get in exactly the pose he is on the box, you can get approximations, which I'm sure you were able to do, but even then his right hand does not hold the Zyusouken sturdily and the left hand would do nothing to stabilize it. The best method to have him in a Zyusouken playing pose that actually lasts is to have him hold the end of the Zyusouken with his left hand and have the right hand play it and give it extra stability. It is very similar to to box, but is not the same. That's really the only way to have him in a pose that holds the Zyusouken perfectly horizontal and up to his mouth that also won't have him drop the Zyusouken if a light breeze passes him.
