I don't think the design is bad. Although I'm not really digging the colour scheme or the "hair" design for the helmet.

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that I like everything except for the helmet. The face in particular just looks really cheap, like it belongs on something else. The lower amount of armor kind of reminds me of Fourze, which isn't bad. The face looks awful though. The version in the top left looks a tad bit better, but that's just a logo.

Yeah, but that does not mean people can't not like the design for the character. I can not watch something, but still hate the design of something. I never play the newer Devil May Cry game, but I still hate the design for Dante in that game.

I don't dislike it, but it is absolutely nothing that I'd expect from a Kamen Rider and thus am both curious and slightly hesitant about this show going forward.

Hmm. I'm pretty neutral on this. It doesn't immediately rub me the wrong way like Ghost's parka (which I warmed up to), although the more I look at his head the less I like it.
The rest of the suit is pretty cool though, but I hope the colors don't look so cheap and knockoffish on the real suit.
His belt looks bizarre. Hopefully that's a good sign. At least it doesn't look overtly gimmicky and impractical like some other belts such as Ghost's and Fourze's.

I guess if the show is good, I can get pass the suit design. I know people will bring up Gaim since fans did had mix feelings for the suit design before the show air. Personally, I was the very few people who love Gaim's design on day one.

A very so bad it's good situation for me personally.
If they make those eyes emote.... I'm in heaven.
As for the tacky colors they seem to work well oddly enough.
Maybe the reason I am loving this is because currently the only thing I care in Ghost are Onari and his mishaps and Kamen Rider feels a tad stale at the moment.
