What I really found lacking about the book was that it had some really great ideas but never went anywhere with them. Like the whole backup identity or that Thomas Wayne might still be alive.

Read the first issue in the second Batgirl trade, love the new artist - although I can't tell who is more obsessed with Barbara's legs, me or the new artist! Legz 4 dayz.

In my honest biased opinion, everyone should read all the Lantern Universe books (Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Green Lantern New Guardians, Red Lanterns, and Sinestro.) and Swamp Thing. Also Justice League 3000 is pretty fun, crazy, and intriguing.

So I finally read all of Forever Evil over the last two days and it was mediocre at best. There were some enjoyable parts, such as Deathstroke's paycheck conversation with Luthor, Cold's song to voice activate his Cold Gun (along with the outcome) and the fight between Sinestro and Power Ring, but as a whole, it was just stupid. The Justice League was knocked out for the entire thing, making their use of the CSA pointless. Batman and Catwoman seemed poorly written, and once again, if you don't follow any of the other stories, you have no idea what the hell is going on. It seemed like there was no semblance of time at all. Did the whole thing take place in the span of a day? A few months? And why did one group say that Earth 3 was destroyed by Darkseid and then they show the Anti-Monitor as being the one who destroyed it? Plus, the whole Alexander Luthor thing being evil was also annoying as the whole point of Earth 3 is to have everyone be the opposite of what they are on Earth 1. Finally, the entire thing seemed to just be made to lead into another multi cross over big event series. ARGH!!! What happened to nice one issue stand alone stories? Why can't we get a bunch of those before we got into another huge event? I give Forever Evil a 2/5 stars.

Green Lantern books are all I read from DC. I was starting to read some other stuff but then they rebooted. Only read the first JL story and didn't like the look of new DC. I should probably read a little Batman or something.

I recommend Earth 2, Batman, Talon (although you should read Batman: The Court of Owls/Night of the Owls beforehand for greater context), and Action Comics (which gets weird towards the end of Grant Morrison's run).

So is it just me, or is Future's End pretty much just Days of Future Past in the DC world?
