You know, all this talk about the over usage of "Super Mega" makes me miss the days of "Samurai Rangers, victory is ours." I liked that one.

Den-O, do you think that the reason you feel disappointment is also because they've treated GoKaiger powers as an add on, rather than its own team? I think that's what bothers me the most. It lessens the impact of how awesome this group could have been. I would have appreciated it more if they had just killed their Goseiger powers off, and had to flee to the Galleon to survive. No more of this high school juice bar nonsense. Just survival.

And I miss Navi.

I feel there was a missed opportunity with Barizorg too.

How dark would it have been if Jake had disappeared at the end of the last season to be replaced by a new person to be Green. only for them to find out that their friend had been changed into Barizorg. But then maybe that's too much character depth and motivation.

Putting two empty adjectives together like Super Mega just makes me cringe every time I hear it in a non-spoof manner too.

This episode wasn't too bad, mainly because it's an adaptation of a Gokaiger episode, but here, have a dragon is a bit lame, especially since they could have used such things as chance for a cameo.

I voted bad. I had to. Super Megaforce is severely testing my unapologetic MMPR fanboyism. Between the crap dialogue, the crap delivery, and the.. I mean come on. Instead of the story behind why they unlocked the Dragon it was just "Here it is!".

Some tribute season Saban. Way to show you care.

I voted "Average".

Really it deserved "bad" but I thought the last episode sucked so much, this one gets an extra push. It had a lot going bad for it, such as the hand-waved Mystic Dragon the awful dialogue, ill fitting footage in places, unexplained instant morphs to Super Mega, existence of Megaforce Keys with no explanation and super watered down Gokaiger plot, but it reminded me a lot of Samurai. Yes, it was a lazily done Gokaiger adaption where they just watered down everything they could, but at least it had a plot because of it. Hate the laziness as much as it deserves, but at least when they're straight copying the result has a beginning, middle and an end, which is more then you can say about a lot of Megaforce where they managed to copy Goseiger in ways that took out all the plot.

Then again, writing out the larger-then-I-thought list of wrongs I regret giving it "Average" over "Bad".

While I'm pretty off put by the issues Saban is having with various things, I still maintain that if you cut out all attempts at using Gokaiger footage the whole thing works. The story is there, and its really not that bad, but as soon as they try to shoehorn these new powers in (and badly at that) it all goes to pot.

The bad tends to overshadow the good. To be honest, this show is the same level of bad that all bad pr seasons are, with the added problem of no fluffing care being taken by the guy who was so butt-hurt by Disney that he wanted his baby back.

Ignoring morality issues, average. Otherwise just more bad yet again.
