Isn't Growlithe a stone evo? So you can just toss a fire stone (One of the few evolution stones you can actually buy in game >.>) and get the Arcanine without putting in time training it!

After my Natu, I've had little luck, trying to get a shiny Shinx hasn't yielded good results

He just said the Growlithe won't be one he'll train up, so moveset really shouldn't matter

Oh that's right! I might as well get the Arcanine lol. For whatever reason, my first two shinies, I never wanted to touch ever. But I already evolved the Rufflet I caught in Y, so why not the Growlithe too?

I forgot it was a stone evolution though. xP Now there's really no reason not to.
